Cruising in Northern France

“Vive la France!”

France had been a travel destination for me for some time, and I chose to tour northern France on my first European river cruise. We visited the cities of Paris and Rouen as well as the D-Day Normandy Beaches and toured the Musée du Louvre, the Château de Versailles, the Memorial de Caen, the Bayeux Tapestry and Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny. And of course, we had great food everywhere – on board our ship, at the Château La Chenevière, and at the Château du Taillis – and had the opportunity to sample apple cider and apple brandy at a local farm.

I recommend starting at the beginning – Day 0 – Arrival in Paris – and following along (Day 0 was the day before the tour officially started). The top menu has links to more information on France travel, while the side menu has links to each day on the tour and to photo galleries comprising the best of my 600+ photos taken during my travels through northern France. Enjoy!
