The Château de Versailles (Palace of Versailles) is a former royal residence built by King Louis XIV located about 12 miles west of Paris. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is filled with paintings, gilded statues and marble paneling. We toured the chapel, royal apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, and the gardens.
